Cold Rolling/Process Line

Overview

The process is used to produce CGI (Continuous Galvanized Iron) by producing, at first, full hard material through pickling and rolling in the PCM (Pickling and Cold Rolling) and heating them to a certain temperature, cold rolling them, removing any stress and granting required ductility
them, deposit-plating them through the hot dip pot and controlling the amount of plating adhesion with an air knife.

Based on our technological excellence, POSCO E&C has experience on successful projects at home and abroad, including the Gwangyang Steelworks in Korea (500,000 tons/year), India (450,000 tons/year), Mexico (500,000 tons/year) and China (450,000 tons/year).
