Overview

A combined cycle power plant is a combined system that drives gas turbines with the explosive force of compressed fuel gas for primary power generation, and drives steam turbines for secondary power generation by producing steam at the heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) by making use of exhaust gases generated by the gas turbine.

POSCO E&C has constructed LNG combined cycle power plants in Gwangyang and Pohang as EPC turn-key projects covering every phase from engineering through to construction, and has constructed a gas turbine combined cycle power plant facility utilizing FINEX gas for the first time in the world.

Furthermore, we have become the first Korean construction company to enter the Peruvian energy market, through building the 830MW Kallpa combined cycle plant and the 810MW Chilca Uno combined cycle plant.
