Pulau Indah Combined Cycle Power Plant

Palau Indah Combined Cycle Power Plant project was to build a large-scale combined power plant with a capacity of 1,200 MW in Pulau Indah, an area located near (approx. 50 km) Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

POSCO E&C has completed five large-scale projects involving the use of the H-class gas turbine model. Based on the performance and expertise, we succeeded in winning the contract by competing against leading domestic and overseas companies holding experiences of project implementation in Malaysia.

H-class gas turbine is a state-of-the-art high-efficiency gas turbine befitting the ESG era.

By cooperating with major gas turbine makers, we secured competitive power suitable for the project implementation. Large-scale combined power generation will replace the conventional coal-fired power generation in the era of coal phase-out. Accordingly, by accumulating large-scale combined power plant performances, we prepared a foundation to solidify our position as a global top player in the major overseas markets in Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East.
