Royal Canin Gimje Pet Food Plant is set on a site measuring approximately 100,000㎡. Gimje Plant of Royal Canin, a world’s leading pet food maker in France, is the second plant of Royal Canin to be built in Asia following the one in Shanghai, China.
Royal Canin, Established in 1968, mainly produces and supplies feed for pet dogs and cats. Recording the largest share in Korea’s pet food market, Royal Canin is popular among consumers. Gimje Plant, since its completion in 2018, has been exporting 80% of its products to major countries in Asia, such as Japan, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
It plays an important role in improving health of pet animals in the Asia-Pacific region by supplying high-quality products. In 2020, the products of Royal Canin manufactured in Korea obtained an export permit from Australia for the first time. Gimje Plant is also equipped with innovative facilities including the “raw material cleaning tower,” which prevents contamination of raw materials, and the “remote measuring system” to improve accuracy in production process.
